My Mom called the other day (we live about 1 1/2 hours apart) & said she wanted to make some calendars for friends for Christmas, but wasn't sure how. (She doesn't have internet access) I told her about this months project class, so she came to see me this weekend & we made a couple of these together. They were so easy (great instructions Bree ) & fast. Turned out really cute, but I didn't make pictures.

I used to make the large wall calendars every year but with so much family drama over the last couple of years I no longer make them This is really a cute, cute idea...and inexpensive. I think I may make a couple for friends...maybe myself and hubby too.

Bree I just love this and only wish I'd seen it sooner.

Cathy, I agree. I'm so jealous of lots of energy many of the freaks seem to have. I'm anxious to know the freak secret.

Beffy, I used my BIA for a total of 10 of them. IMO they came out pretty well, although while designing I had to keep reminding myself of the 1/2 inch allowance. It gives it a nice sturdy finished appearance, though.

One thing I'd suggest is making the tent so that there's about 3/4" of fold-over at the top for the binding to go through. Mine is a bit "open" at the top since it's two raw edges meeting there. I didn't do it on any of them, so I'm not sure how that might affect the rest of the tent.

    thanks for the tips Laura!!!
